According to a recent report from over in Italy, AS Roma are currently set to make a first bid for Juventus star Gonzalo Higuain. The forward recently spent half a season out on loan with Chelsea, but the Premier League side didn’t seem all too interested in keeping him on the books beyond that. Now, Roma are in the process of planning to offer £8.1 million to Serie A rivals Juventus in order to bring him over on a season-long loan. They would then have the option of purchasing him for a fee of around £24.2 million, in what would probably be one of the final big moves of his career. The Argentine is considered by many to be an incredibly talented forward and goalscoring talent, but even with that being the case, the general consensus is that he isn’t able to find that consistency in stretches where it matters the most.
