Roma go after Lingard

According to a recent report from the Sunday Express, Roma are leading the charge in the race to sign Jesse Lingard.

It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that Manchester United will not be holding onto Jesse Lingard for much longer. Ever since the summer there’s been tension in the air with Lingard making it perfectly clear that he wanted a new challenge, even though the Red Devils didn’t want to give it to him.

Now, though, with the next summer transfer window approaching, he’s gearing up for pastures new – and he could potentially be doing so with a former mentor of his.

Jose Mourinho has always been high on Lingard and he may try and help reignite his career by bringing him over to Italy.

Juventus, AC Milan, West Ham and Newcastle are all also said to be in the hunt but Roma are currently fancying their chances more so than the rest.
