According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Italian side Roma are not going to sell Edin Dzeko to fellow Serie A contenders Inter Milan unless they can structure a very specific type of deal. That deal would see Mauro Icardi make his way over to Rome, in something of a swap move between the two clubs.

It certainly seems like Roma are being the more stubborn of the two sides when it comes to getting this deal over the finish line, because as has been reported at length, Icardi seems to be much more interested in the possibility of heading to Serie A champions Juventus.

One way or another Inter seem determined to land their man when it comes to signing Dzeko, as the Bosnian continues to try and prove himself as one of world football’s most underrated forwards.

Either way, though, we can’t see this getting resolved until closer to Deadline Day.
