Roma to go after Ndombele?

According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Roma have emerged as possible contenders in the race to sign Tottenham Hotspur star Tanguy Ndombele.

The belief is that Ndombele is “unsettled” at the club and despite showing flashes of brilliance, he doesn’t appear to be the finished product that they need right now – despite manager Nuno Espirito Santo pleading for patience on the matter.

If Roma do wind up signing him then it would allow Ndombele to reunite with Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese boss has gotten off to a solid enough start in his return to Italian football but if he’s serious about making a push for the title, or at the very least a spot back in the Champions League, he’ll need a few reinforcements in January.

That would give Ndombele a few more months to shine but it just doesn’t seem as if that’s the right route forward for him under Nuno.
