The Daily Star understands that Manchester United are lining up a £132m summer move for Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portugal international, who left Old Trafford in for the Bernabeu in 2009 has long been linked with a return to the Red Devils and this could be the summer it happens with the European Champions keen to shake up their squad.

Ronaldo played under Mourinho in the Spanish capital for three years where together they won the La Liga title in 2012 and the Copa Del Ray a season earlier.

In total the forward has racked up four hundred and twenty-nine appearances for Real, scoring four hundred and forty-three goals.

Whist at United he scored one hundred and eighteen goals and won three consecutive Premier League titles from 2007 to 2009, as well as two League Cups and the Champions League.

His next international appearance will be his one hundred and fiftieth while he has scored eighty-one goals for his country.
