Knowing that three points on Sunday could see them break into the top half, Sassuolo will host a struggling Parma this weekend.

Starting with the hosts, picking up a 2-1 win on the road at SPAL last weekend, Sassuolo find themselves enjoying what has become quite the purple patch. Now sat within touching distance of the top half and the mood in their camp at a season-high, I Neroverdi have won three of their last four and are yet to taste defeat over the past five weeks. Putting in what was a season-best display in their stunning 4-2 win over Champions League hopefuls Roma earlier in the month, Roberto De Zerbi’s men have landed back-to-back victories on home soil. With a growing reputation for their performances in the final third, Sassuolo should be confident of extending their eye-catching run this weekend.

As for the visitors, while Parma’s Serie A return may have shocked many at the start of the season, I Crociati’s form has begun to show some cause for concern. Suffering a 1-0 loss against Lazio last week and watching their European ambitions take another dent, Head Coach Roberto D’Aversa has seen his side lose three of their last five and have just a pair of victories to their name since the middle of December. Also hit with back-to-back defeats on the road last month, including a 5-0 hammering away at Atalanta, Sunday’s trip to Sassuolo could prove to be another tough test for Parma.
