Veteran midfielder Clarence Seedorf insists he has no intentions of retiring and could stay at AC Milan.

The 36-year-old said before last Sunday’s game against Novara that it would be his last game for the Serie A club, and reports from Brazil had suggested he was on the verge of joining Botafogo.

However, Seedorf appears to have changed his mind and could now remain at the San Siro club.

“I do not rule anything out, not even staying at Milan. I am taking a week to think about it and make a decision calmly,” he told La7.

“I will definitely not retire, though. I want to play for two or three more years.”

Seedorf’s contract with Milan is due to expire in June.

He joined AC Milan in 2002 after previous stints with city rivals Inter, Real Madrid, Sampdoria and Ajax.
