Sevilla go after Pochettino

According to a recent report from The Athletic, Sevilla have been in touch with Mauricio Pochettino in the last few days.

The belief is that with the pressure rising on Julien Lopetegui, the Spanish side are looking into the possibility of sacking him – and they want to be ready to implement his replacement almost immediately.

Ironically, this would be something of a straight reverse from what happened when Pochettino himself was shown the door at Tottenham to make way for Jose Mourinho.

Sevilla, as we all know, have a great pedigree, and they also have all the potential in the world to cause some upsets this season.

In equal measure, Pochettino is hungry to prove that he can continue to find success in the wake of his tenure at PSG.

The Argentine is also believed to be attracting attention from England but given all the big jobs are currently taken, we can’t imagine that’s something he’ll entertain just yet.
