According to O Jogo, Sporting CP striker Bas Dost is on the verge of snubbing a potential move to Sevilla in favour of a deal with Fenerbahce. The Dutch forward has had a phenomenal scoring record throughout his professional career, and at the age of just 29, he seems to have a lot left in the tank. Dost has been playing in Portugal for two years, after making the jump from Wolfsburg in Germany.

According to the report Dost has actually reached an agreement with the Turkish giants and the deal could be officially announced as soon as the end of the week. Dost will be focusing all of his attention on domestic football moving forward as opposed to international football, after officially announcing back in April that he will be retiring from playing for The Netherlands after scoring just one goal in 18 appearances. This past season, Dost scored 34 goals in 49 appearances for Sporting.
