Shaw linked with loan switch

Newcastle United a ready to make a loan move for out-of-favour Manchester United full-back Luke Shaw, according to the Mail Online.

The twenty-two year old is yet to feature in the Premier League or Champions League this season while his only two outings, both in the EFL Cup came as a substitute.

Shaw was also used sparingly last season, racking up just nineteen appearances in all competitions while the campaign before saw him blighted by injury after he broke his leg in a Champions League fixture against PSV Eindhoven.

A temporary move away could give the former Southampton man the chance to resurrect his career, and Newcastle are looking for reinforcements as they aim to steer themselves away from trouble.

Rafael Bentiez’s side lost a fourth consecutive league game on Saturday afternoon to slip to fourteenth place in the table, and are currently just four points above the relegation zone.
