Shaw set for new Manchester United deal

Luke Shaw is set to be offered a new contract at Manchester United, according to the Daily Star.

The left-back had seemingly been frozen out at Old Trafford after making just eleven league appearances last season with his first appearance not coming until mid-December.

However, he has played every minute of the Red Devils’ campaign this term and earned an international recall after he was omitted from England’s squad for this summer’s World Cup finals.

He is now set to be offered a lucrative deal to remain in Manchester though Tottenham Hotspur remain interested with their manager Mauricio Pochettino having worked with the defender at Southampton.

Shaw played fifty-three minutes of England’s defeat to Spain on Saturday evening before being stretchered off with a head injury though it is thought to be not too serious.

Having lost their opening game in the Nations League, England face Switzerland at the King Power Stadium with the home win priced at 4/6.
