Silva not worried about Gomes’ future

“I think zero [in terms of] how it will affect us. Nothing changes in our way of what’s in our mind as well.

“When you have good players in your squad, that means other clubs are looking at them as well.  That’s normal in football.

“At the right moment we’ll have time to talk about the situation and let’s see what we can do to keep him or not.”

Those are the words of Everton manager Marco Silva and while some may choose to believe that he’s saying he thinks Andre Gomes could leave the club, it seems to us like he’s confident enough in his own plans moving forward. Silva was responding to reports that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Gomes, who is currently on a season long loan deal at Goodison Park from Barcelona.

Whatever the case may be, Everton certainly aren’t going to give up on him without a fight.
