Sligo Rovers’ Amond joins Pacos Ferreira

Portuguese Liga outfit Pacos Ferreira have swooped for Sligo Rovers forward Padraig Amond. The 22 year old has joined Pacos for an undisclosed fee.

Amond was the top scorer in the Airtricity League when he left Sligo for Portugal. He started his career with Shamrock Rovers and had a loan spell with Kildare County before joining Sligo. He has also been capped by the Republic of Ireland at U-21 level.

Pacos have had a dream start to the 10/11 season as they beat Sporting Lisbon in their Portuguese Liga opener.
