Southampton go after Williams

According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Southampton are interested in making a push to sign Manchester United youngster Brandon Williams.

The proposed deal would be a loan, and after Ralph Hasenhuttl was unable to secure this very signing during the summer, he seems to be going back for a second bite.

Williams is one of the many options being considered by Southampton as they continue to try and bolster their defensive ranks, and after Alex Telles came through the door earlier this year, it does make sense for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to send Williams elsewhere in the name of him gaining more first team experience.

The Saints have been able to improve the fortunes of many players over the years, and when you take one look at what Hasenhuttl has been able to accomplish thus far, it’s not insane to think that Williams would benefit from a stint away from Old Trafford.
