Sporting Lisbon kept FC Porto from winning the portuguese double, beating their rivals to take the national cup trophy.

In regular time of the Taça de Portugal final, no goals were scored. Porto did lose a player though thanks to a red card to Paulo in the 71st minute.

In extra time it was Rodrigo Tiuí to make the difference for Sporting, scoring in the 111th minute and again in the 117th.

Sporting, who also won last season’s edition of the Portuguese Cup, now have 14 cup trophies in their cabinet.
