Spurs manager, Juande Ramos, is combing his native country Spain for possible transfer targets. It appears that the club have set their sights on Espanyol centre-half Marc Torrejon, 22.
The £5million-rated Spanish Under-21 star is also a team-mate of fellow defender Daniel Jarque, a player that also been linked with Spurs.
Ramos is keen on another centre-half because of doubts surrounding the fitness of skipper Ledley King, and the inconsistent form of both Younes Kaboul and Michael Dawson.
Blackburn have also shown interest in Torrejon, with Blackburn manager, Mark Hughes, attending Epanyol’s last game of the season to study the player further.
