Spurs to move for Ndidi?

According to the Daily Express, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Wilfred Ndidi from Leicester City. The proposed move would obviously reunite the 26-year-old Nigerian with former teammate James Maddison.

Ndidi joined Leicester in January 2017, and since then, he’s made a total of 252 appearances for the Foxes in all competitions, scoring 14 goals and producing 16 assists from his position at the base of midfield. He played an important role in the club’s 2021 FA Cup triumph.

In the past, Ndidi was strongly linked with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United. It was believed he would leave the King Power Stadium at the end of last season when Leicester suffered relegation from the Premier League, but for the time being, he has stayed put. This season he has three goals and four assists in 15 matches, 12 in the Championship and three in the Carabao Cup.

If no move is made in January, Ndidi will be able to leave Leicester as a free agent in the summer, unless he signs a new contract.
