Stoke eye Huddlestone loan

Stoke City are eyeing a loan deal for Derby County midfielder Tom Huddlestone, according to the Mail Online.

The move would see the former England international reunited with manager Gary Rowett, who was with him at the East Midlands outfit last season.

Having begun his career with the Rams, Huddlestone returned to Pride Park last summer and played forty-seven times last term, scoring twice.

In between his two spells with Derby, he spent eight years with Tottenham Hotspur, and four with Hull City while he had a loan spell with Wolverhampton Wanderers during the 2005/06 campaign.

He was part of the Spurs squad that won the League Cup in 2008, while he helped the Tigers to promotion via the play-offs in 2016.

Internationally, he won four senior caps for England between 2009 and 2012, with all four of his appearances coming in friendlies.

Stoke are currently priced at 3/1 to be promoted.
