Tarashaj completes Grasshoppers loan move

Everton have confirmed that Shani Tarashaj has been shipped out on loan once again, back to the same team that brought him up through the ranks in the first place – Grasshoppers. The Swiss side are clearly keen to keep him on the books despite selling him to Everton back in 2016, with this being Tarashaj’s second return to the club after a brief run back in 2016. The forward has struggled to make any kind of real impact for the Toffees since signing, with his knee injury last season ruling him out of any major movements in the Premier League.

Everton have certainly made some interesting moves in the summer transfer window over the years, but it still feels like they haven’t really broken out into the mainstream yet in a big way this summer – which feels like a complete 180 from what they were able to do last year. Who knows, perhaps this is all part of a new strategy.
