Tilemans linked with Manchester United switch

Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign Youri Tielemans by Monaco, according the Star.

The Belgium international spent the second half of last season on loan at Leicester City, and his three goals and five assists in thirteen games helped them clinch a top half finish.

In one-and-a-half years at Monaco, he racked up sixty-five appearances, scoring six goals while he won two league titles and two Belgian Super Cups during his time at Anderlecht – the club where he began his career.

He has been capped twenty-three times for his country, with his one and only international goal so far coming in a 1-0 European Championships qualifying victory over Russia back in March.

The twenty-two-year-old played four times at last summer’s World Cup finals in Russia, where his side finished in third place while the year before he was named as Belgium’s footballer of the year.
