Toronto FC to appeal Altidore dismissal following half-time fight vs New York Red Bulls (VIDEO)

Jose Altidore and New York Red Bulls captain Sasa Kljestan were sent off for violent conduct after the two teams clashed at halftime in the BMO Field tunnel.

Pressure was high in Sunday’s Eastern Conference semi-final and reached the boiling point at halftime when sets of players clashed in the tunnel.

Jozy Altidore and Sasa Kljestan were sanctioned for their roles in the scuffle but Toronto FC are preparing evidence to support their striker who looks set to miss the first leg of the two-game series.
