Under 2.5 goals at West Brom vs Sheffield United 7/10 for Saturday’s Premier League battle

Competition: Premier League

Market: Under 2.5 goals

Odds: 7/10 @ 888sport

In what is nothing short of a real relegation six-pointer, West Brom and Sheffield United will meet at the Hawthorns on Saturday night.

Starting with the hosts, left heartbroken to have left Old Trafford empty-handed last weekend after what was more VAR controversy, West Brom sunk to a 1-0 loss against Manchester United and the pressure is really on the Baggies. Despite making some clear improvements either side of the November international break, the Midlands outfit have lost each of their last three Premier League matchups on the bounce and are seen as a leading contender to be hit with an immediate Championship return. Still looking for their first victory since making their top-flight return over the summer, West Brom’s recent issues was highlighted by that worrying 2-0 defeat against fellow strugglers Fulham. It should also be noted, along with drawing a blank in each of their previous three defeats, Saturday’s hosts have managed to score just a single goal since September 26th.

As for the visitors, while Sheffield United might have billed their showdown against West Ham last weekend as another must-win contest, the Blades once again came up short at Bramall Lane. Hit with a 1-0 defeat against the Hammers on home soil, it has been nothing short of a woeful campaign this time around for Chris Wilder’s side. Already sat firmly at the foot of the Premier League table after what was a famous top-half finish last season, this weekend’s guests have remarkably managed to collect just a single point from their opening nine Premier League matchups this time around. Drawing another blank against West Ham last time out, United have also continued to show their own issues in front of goal. Scoring just four goals so far this year, we’re backing another low-scoring contest on Saturday night.
