According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano is open to the possibility of leaving the club during the upcoming summer transfer window. The last few months have been full of speculation regarding the future of Upamecano, with it previously looking likely that he’d be making his way out of the Bundesliga in favour of a jump across Europe – potentially to the Premier League.

Arsenal were believed to be interested at one point before that potential deal fell apart, but now, he could well be ready to take the ‘step up’. Leipzig are featured heavily in the Bundesliga title race this season but if they’re going to take that jump up and win the title, it may have to be this year.

If they aren’t able to do so, they could wind up losing some of their biggest stars to Europe’s big clubs in the next few months.
