van de Beek wanted Everton move

According to a recent report from AD, Donny van de Beek wanted to leave Manchester United and join Everton on loan before the end of the summer transfer window.

Ever since arriving at Old Trafford it’s been hard for van de Beek to really get a foothold in the first team with the club.Whether it be due to competition from elsewhere or because he just hasn’t been living up to the hype, many feel as if he hasn’t bene able to “shine” in the manner many were hoping.

As it turns out he was eyeing up the prospect of getting an opportunity to do just that during the summer – but not with United. He wanted to leave in favour of a loan switch across the north west to Everton, but as per the aforementioned report, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer blocked the move as his own central midfield problems continue.
