Norwich striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel is confident he can provide the goals to fire the club up the Premier League table.
Manager Chris Hughton secured the services of the Dutchman from Sporting Lisbon in a deal reported to be worth £8.5 mliion.
Norwich struggled in front of goal last season, scoring a mere 41 times in 38 games.
Van Wolfswinkel, though, believes he can improve the Carrow Road outfit’s fortunes going forward and justify his price tag.
“It (the transfer fee) shows me Norwich have a lot of confidence in me,” he told The Daily Star.
“If anything, I see it more as a motivation.
“I’m confident of scoring goals. That’s part and parcel of my job, but the most important thing for me is I am a team player.”
Van Wolfswinkel made 40 appearances for Sporting Lisbon last season, scoring 19 times.
