Atletico Madrid could be set to make a sensational summer swoop for Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy, according to the Independent.
Diego Simeone, who looks set to remain as Atleti manager as they head into their new stadium next season has drawn up a shortlist of transfer targets and the England international is included.
Antoine Griezmann has been strongly linked with a move away from the La Liga side with Manchester United and city rivals Real Madrid waiting in the wings.
Vardy was subject to interest from Arsenal almost a year ago after he helped Leicester secure an unprecedented league title and while he and his side have failed to reach the heights of last season his future at the King Power Stadium is once again the subject of speculation.
The thirty year old has still managed fifteen goals so far this campaign, two of which coming in the Champions League.
