The experienced Frenchman bagged a brace in a 4-2 win to lift his tally to 9 goals in 21 La Liga matches this season. His Sunday performance was overall brilliant with the 31-year-old’s tireless running and constant efforts to create something in the final third – mostly for his teammates.
Dropping deep to collect the ball and take part in build-up play while also holding to it and anchoring closer to goal in order to allow teammates to join the attack is textbook example of how a proper striker should play.
