VIDEO: Mourinho aims a subtle dig towards Cristiano Ronaldo after Real Madrid defeat

Manchester United Jose Mourinho was surprisingly calm in his post-match interview following the UEFA Super Cup defeat at the hands of Real Madrid.

The Red Devils suffered a 2-1 blow in their first competitive match of the season but Jose did not miss the opportunity to point out a couple of aspects that affected the game in his opinion, such as the apparent offside position with Real Madrid’s first goal, but also the fear and respect referee felt for Cristiano Ronaldo.

“Every time Cristiano wanted, the referee gave a free kick.”, Mourinho said through a sour smile.

The United boss also praised the efforts of his men adding they are a group of players he loves the most of all his previous teams.

Jose was truly the star of the evening, having previously refused his medal he ended up giving to a young boy on the pitch.
