New Inter Milan signing Nemanja Vidic has tried to persuade Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko to accept an offer from the Nerazzurri, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Manchester United captain has agreed to join the Italian giants on a free transfer in the summer, but he is unlikely to be the only Premier League footballer to arrive at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
Il Corriere dello Sport understands that Inter have made Edin Dzeko their primary target in the summer transfer window and they are pulling all the stops to secure his signature.
The same source has suggested that Nemanja Vidic has called the Bosnian to try and persuade him to make a switch to Inter in the summer.
Despite showing a great deal of promise, Dzeko has been unable to nail down a regular starting berth at the Etihad, and the opportunity to get regular playing time at a club like Inter is likely to appeal to him.
