Walcott wants long Southampton stay?

According to a recent report from Liverpool Echo, Theo Walcott has hinted at wanting to extend his stay at Southampton.

The former England international is currently on loan with the Saints from Everton, and yet despite only being back at his former club for a few weeks, he’s already talking about something more permanent.

Walcott’s rise to fame began when he made his move to Arsenal as a teenager, and yet while he may have enjoyed a somewhat successful career, he hasn’t quite been able to reach the heights that many had expected of him.

There’s still some potential left in what he can achieve and that’s especially true for his Southampton return, but it’s going to take time. When you take one look at how well Everton have started the season, though, it does make sense that Walcott would prefer to stay somewhere that allows him to have more first team opportunities.
