Watford boss isn’t shocked about Doucoure interest

“Last season every week we were talking about Liverpool or Everton, all the clubs that were interested in him.

“We can speak about it again. For me Doucoure is a great player, a very important player for us. I do not know what will happen.

“It doesn’t surprise me other clubs want to sign him because he is a very good player.”

These are the words of Watford manager Javi Gracia, as speculation continues over the future of Abdoulaye Doucouré. The 25 year old has been a revelation for the Hornets ever since making his permanent switch to Vicarage Road from Rennes back in 2016, and now, the talk about him moving away from the club is louder than ever.

While he still seems to enjoy playing for Watford, nobody can deny that he has a great opportunity to move to another big club in Europe, and who knows, perhaps Everton and Liverpool will come back in for him in the January transfer window.
