According to a recent report from Sport Bild, Timo Werner is set to remain at German club RB Leipzig ahead of a potential deal to champions Bayern Munich. They are not willing to pay £30 million in order to lure him over to the club, with his contract being set to expire in 2020.

Bayern will almost certainly continue to go after Werner in one way or another in order to try and get this deal over the finish line, even if that means waiting until next summer to get him to sign on the dotted line.

Werner is widely considered to be one of the most exciting young forwards in all of European football today, but trying to sign him has been much trickier than Bayern would’ve first anticipated.

One of the most intriguing queries surrounds the figure, because £30 million in today’s market doesn’t seem like all too great of a price to pay.
