West Ham enter Dzeko race

According to a recent report from Calciomercato, West Ham United have made an approach to sign Roma striker Edin Dzeko.

The veteran forward has been a name on the lips of many clubs across Europe in recent weeks, and that’s particularly true for the Premier League contingent. Everton and Manchester City, with the latter being his former club, have both made their intentions to sign him known as the race for his signature continues.

After allowing Haller to leave earlier on in the January transfer window, many believe that the Hammers are in need of a new goalscoring option – especially if they’re serious about making a push for the top six.

Dzeko may not be in his prime in the eyes of many but he still knows how to find the back of the net, and if he returns to the Premier League in any form, we’re expecting him to prove that.
