West Ham interested in Wague

According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, West Ham United are in talks to sign Barcelona defender Moussa Wague as a potential replacement for veteran Pablo Zabaleta.

A move of this nature could depend entirely on whether or not the Hammers are able to maintain their Premier League status, and given the current state of the Premier League table, that’s not a certainty right now.

Wague could probably attract the attention of many top flight clubs, but for now, West Ham really do have their sights set on him.

Zabaleta is currently a free agent, and at the age of 35, the Argentine could easily start to contemplate the idea of retirement.

At the age of just 21, now could be the perfect time for Wague to test himself outside of La Liga’s elite. While West Ham may not be the ideal setting for him right now, you never know unless you try.
