West Ham to go after M’Vila

According to a recent report from L’Equipe, West Ham United are interested in making a move for Yann M’Vila. The 28 year old midfielder has been with Saint-Etienne since back in 2018, building up a reputation for himself as one of the most consistent midfield forces in Ligue 1. For those who don’t remember, M’Vila actually has a history in the Premier League from his days with Sunderland in 2015-16. He’s also played for Rennes, Ruben Kazan and Inter Milan, and also made a series of appearances for the French national team between 2010 and 2012.

M’Vila may not be the kind of flashy name that you’d associate with a team trying to break into the Europa League, but West Ham know what they’re doing. M’Vila would bring some much needed consistency to their midfield, and if they’re serious about a Europa League push, they’re going to need some strength in depth.

For now it may be just a rumour, but it feels like we aren’t far off it becoming something more substantial.
