West Ham United eye Watford defender Craig Dawson

West Ham United are interested in signing Craig Dawson from Watford in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Mail. It has been reported that the Hammers are looking for a new central defender this summer and Dawson is among their targets.

However, Premier League rivals Fulham are also looking in the possibility of securing the services of the 30-year-old before the window closes next month, according to the report. Watford are playing in the Championship this season after getting relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.

Dawson joined Watford from West Bromwich Albion in the summer of 2019. According to WhoScored, the English defender made 26 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Hornets last season, scoring two goals in the process. It remains to be seen of Watford are open to selling Dawson this summer.
