Landing what could turn out to be a crucial 1-0 win away at London rivals West Ham on Saturday evening, Chelsea find themselves sat in pole position to secure another top-four finish this season.

Really enjoying a purple patch since bringing Thomas Tuchel to Stamford Bridge back in January, The Blues also have a Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid on the horizon.

With rumors over the past week that the former PSG boss could already be in line for a new deal, some expect Chelsea to splash the cash once again this summer.

While there might be a string of speculation surrounding the likes of Tammy Abraham’s future in West London, we have taken a look at three stars who have been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge when the window reopens.

Jude Bellingham

Although Jude Bellingham might have picked up his first professional red card in Borussia Dortmund’s victory against Wolfsburg over the weekend, the 17-year-old is widely regarded as one of Europe’s hottest young starlets.

Bursting onto the scene with Championship outfit Birmingham after coming through The Blues’ ranks, Bellingham has only gone from strength to strength since moving to rural Germany.

Putting in a pair of eye-catching performances against Manchester City in the Champions League earlier in the month, the now fully-fledged England international could already be in line for a return home this summer.

With Chelsea expected to move on the likes of Ross Barkley, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tiémoué Bakayoko when they all return from their respective loan moves, Eurosport reported last week that Tuchel has Bellingham at the top of his wishlist.

With Tuchel already holding firm links after spending two years in charge at Borussia Dortmund, it has been reported that the former Premier League champions feel that they can complete a deal this summer.

Raphael Varane

While Real Madrid’s involvement in the proposed European Super League might have stolen most of the headlines over the past week, Raphael Varane’s future in the Spanish capital still remains up in the air.

Playing a vital role in France’s World cup-winning adventure back in 2018, the 28-year-old is fast approaching the final year of his deal with Los Blancos and there are no signs that he will put pen to paper on an extension.

With underfire president Florentino Perez leaving the door open to Varane leaving when the window reopens, it has been widely reported over the past month the Chelsea appear the leading contender to snap up the experienced central defender.

However, while Football London have suggested that Varane will be able to leave for a fee in the region of £60million this summer, Tuchel’s side could face some stern competition from a Premier League rivals.

With Manchester United making it no secret they are seeking defensive reinforcements when the window reopens, Manchester Evening News are reporting that The Reds have also made their intentions clear.

Romelu Lukaku

Although Chelsea might have been heavily linked with a move for striking superstar Erling Haaland over the past month, many have been shocked by reports suggesting The Blues could have their sights set on one of their former stars.

While Timo Werner might have managed to grab a rare strike in Saturday’s 1-0 win against West Ham on Saturday evening, Tuchel is expected to be in the market for another striker when the window reopens.

Playing a vital role in Inter Milan’s charge to lift their first Serie A crown in a decade this season, Romelu Lukaku has really transformed into one of Europe’s most clinical number nines.

Scoring 27 goals in 39 games across all competitions for the Italian giants this season, the former Manchester United striker has really hit the ground running since moving from Old Trafford.

Inline to spearhead Belgium’s charge at this summer’s European Championships, Bild reported over the weekend that Chelsea would be keen on bringing Lukaku back to the Premier League before the 2021/22 campaign gets underway.
