Who is reportedly on Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea wishlist this summer?

Guiding Chelsea to a 1-0 win against Manchester City out in Portugal last weekend, there is no doubt that Thomas Tuchel has made quite the impact at Stamford Bridge since taking charge back in January.

Landing their third straight victory against Pep Guardiola’s domestic champions over the past six weeks, The Blues also lifted their first Champions League title since that famous night in Germany nine years ago.

With last summer’s club-record signing Kai Havertz bagging the winner in Porto, it has been widely reported the former PSG boss will be given a real treasure chest worth up to £200million.

With it expected that veteran defender Thiago Silva should be extending his stay in the capital, we have taken a look at three other stars who have been linked with a move to West London.

Romelu Lukaku – Inter Milan

While Inter Milan might have romped their way to the Serie A title this season, the party atmosphere really didn’t last too long with it already announced that Head Coach Antonio Conte has parted ways with the Italian giants.

Dealing with a host of financial issues and making it no secret that they’re desperate to cut their wage bill, it has been reported widely across Europe that Milan would be willing to part ways with attacking talisman Romelu Lukaku if an acceptable offer was to come their way.

Set to spearhead Belgium’s charge at this summer’s European Championships, the one-time Chelsea starlet really hit the ground running since he made the move from Old Trafford back in 2019.

Recording 30 goals with Inter this season and only going from strength to strength, Sky Sports reported last weekend that Chelsea are keen on bringing Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge after the 28-year-old left West London back in 2014.

Declan Rice – West Ham

While Sky Sports might have broken the news that Chelsea are keen on bringing Lukaku back to the capital, it appears that the now reigning European champions have their sights set on potentially bringing another one of their former starlets back to Stamford Bridge.

Enjoying what has been a stellar campaign with surprise package West Ham and in line to start in England’s midfield this summer, Declan Rice has been heavily linked with both Manchester United and Chelsea.

Previously topping Frank Lampard’s wishlist before the former Chelsea icon left the club back in January, Rice has become one of the Premier League’s best holding midfielders since leaving The Blues as a schoolboy at the age of 14. In fact, guiding West Ham to a European return in what has been a record-breaking campaign, Rice has also been nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year award.

However, while The Athletic might have reported that Chelsea are keen on striking a deal, The Hammers and David Moyes have made it abundantly clear that they have no intentions of selling their prized possession this summer.

Adama Traore – Wolves

While Reece James might have put in a stellar display in Chelsea’s 1-0 Champions League victory out in Portugal last weekend, The Telegraph are reporting that Tuchel does have his sights set on strengthening his options at right wing-back.

In what was a shock to many, The Telegraph have suggested that the former PSG boss has already identified Wolves’ Adama Traore as someone he believes can be a realistic addition to his squad this summer.

Despite enduring what has been a largely frustrating campaign in the Midlands and mustering just a pair of Premier League goals this season, the 25-year-old has been rewarded with a spot in Spain’s squad for this summer’s European Championships.

Sometimes deployed as an unorthodox wing-back under now-former boss Nuno Espírito Santo, Traore has entered the final two years of his deal at Wolves and it was reported earlier in the year that The Oranges would be willing to part with the one-time Barcelona starlet.
