Williams could leave Liverpool

According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Liverpool could allow Neco Williams to leave the club in the January transfer window.

The 20-year-old is said to be conscious about his place in the Welsh national team and with key World Cup qualifiers coming up in March, he wants to do everything in his power to secure some regular first team football.

The Reds have some COVID-19 related issues right now but once that’s all been rectified, it seems pretty likely that Williams isn’t going to be the first name on the teamsheet.

Whether it be a Premier League club, a Championship side or a team overseas, Liverpool themselves appear to have acknowledged the position Neco finds himself in.

The January transfer window is always a confusing time for many clubs and it’ll be interesting to see how quickly this potential move gets going given the current time constraints in place.
