Williams signs deal with Liverpool

Rhys Williams, according to Sky Sports, has signed his first professional contract with Liverpool. The 18 year old has been a regular fixture in the club’s Youth league teams throughout the course of the season, and has really been turning heads ever since. He first signed on the dotted line at Anfield at the under 10s level, and has been steadily progressing ever since. He made his first start as a member of the under 23s against Villarreal, and it certainly feels like the only way is up for him.

This seems to indicate that Jurgen Klopp is taking another big step towards bringing through fresh, young English talent, which is going to serve as music to the ears of many Reds fans. They’ve already got a series of world class superstars within their ranks, and levelling that out with some of the best young talent that English football has to offer is hardly going to be seen as a bad thing.
