Wolves close in on Ferreira

According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Wolverhampton Wanderers are closing in on the loan signing of Porto midfielder Vitor Ferreira.

The 20-year-old is in the Black Country in order to complete his medical and finalise the paperwork, and while it will be a season-long loan, there is going to be an option for the signing to become permanent at the end of his first stint at Molineux.

Many fans were worried that Wolves wouldn’t be able to bring in the players they needed to compete again in the top eight this season, but after the signings of Fabio Silva, Fernando Marcal and now Ferreira, it appears as if they’re ready to push back against those claims.

Nuno Espirito Santo is building a side that is more than capable of making another surge for a place in European competition, and they could perhaps even go beyond that and aim for a trophy – so long as they keep the core of their squad intact.
