Wolves close in on Semedo

According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Wolverhampton Wanderers are close to finalising a deal for Barcelona star Nelson Semedo this summer.

The right-back has been linked with a string of top clubs throughout the summer transfer window including Manchester City and Inter Milan, but now, it seems as if he’s going to land at Molineux.

Ever since losing Matt Doherty, Wolves fans have been eager to see what kind of replacement could come in. Semedo looks set to cost the club £29 million but when you think about the money they’ve been able to bring in courtesy of the Doherty and Diogo Jota deals, that kind of figure makes a lot of sense.

Personal terms are yet to be agreed but based on the speed of Wolves’ signings so far this summer, you’d have to imagine they’ll be able to get this across the finish line within the next few days.
