Wolves continue Lemar push

According to a recent report from Marca, Jorge Mendes is working on a deal that will see Thomas Lemar make the move to Wolves.

The biggest problem standing in the way of it becoming a reality is the wages. Lemar is currently on €6 million per year and while Wolverhampton Wanderers may be able to afford that, there’s no guarantee. The 24-year-old is edging into the prime of his career and while Atletico is the kind of platform most players dream of, they also want to test the waters in the Premier League.

Wolves have enjoyed a summer of big spending but even with that being the case, there are still problems within the squad that need to be addressed. The loss to West Ham United proved that there are some holes in their squad that need to be filled, and Lemar could wind up being a huge piece of the puzzle.
