Wolves defender signs new deal

Wolverhampton Wanderers have announced that defender Ryan Bennett has signed a new deal which will keep him at Molineux until 2021. Bennett joined Wolves last summer and was initially being viewed as a back up option, but things have turned out very differently.

The 28 year old has layed in all but one of the club’s Premier League games this season, and has been an important part of why they’re all the way up in 7th place right now. Bennett is one of few British representatives currently in the first team squad, and he seems to take great pride in that.

He’s a no nonsense kind of defender which is exactly what Wolves need, especially when you match that up with their fast paced attacking threats.

Bennett seems as if he’s going to have a home at Molineux for many years to come, which could mean European football if they continue down their current path.
