Wolves move closer to Abraham deal

According to Sky Sports News, Wolverhampton Wanderers are hoping to try and confirm the loan signing of Tammy Abraham at some point in the next few days. The youngster has had a fantastic season so far with Aston Villa, where he’s also been on loan, but Wolves are very eager to bring him up to the next level in the Premier League.

The Blues have a recall clause in his contract which would mean they could change their previous agreement with Aston Villa, although they don’t want to sell him. Chelsea have a reputation for keeping players on the books when they have no real intention of giving them first team appearances, as we’re all well aware.

It’s safe to say that Wolves pinching Abraham from under the nose of their local rivals wouldn’t exactly go down well, but after his performances in the Championship this season, there’s no doubting that he’d have a tonne of confidence.
