What is going to happen with Sergej Milinkovic-Savic? Serbia international had a great 2017-18 season at Lazio, making the biggest European clubs pay close attention to his performances, but the next year was not as great. Milinkovic-Savic struggled after a tough World Cup with Serbia and his stock started going down.
This summer seems as the perfect one for Lazio to sell, as the Serie A club might not be able to sell him for a better price next year and that is what Lazio president Lotito spoke about on Monday.
“Milinkovic-Savic? At Lazio, we keep only those who want to stay at the club,” Lotito told Gazzetta dello Sport. “If the player expresses his intention to explore a new adventure, we will not oppose him. At what price can we let him go? Negotiations are not made in the newspapers. I will only say that he is the best midfielder in the league.”
It looks like Lazio value him highly.
