AC Milan want Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud

AC Milan are interested in signing Olivier Giroud from Chelsea in the summer transfer window, according to Calcio Mercato. The Italian giants have made contact with the entourage of the former Arsenal striker and already have made an agreement in place with them.

Serie A outfit Milan are ready to pay Giroud as much as €4 million per year as salary, including bonuses, and will hand the France international striker a two-year contract. However, with Chelsea having trigged a clause to extend the 34-year-old’s contract by a year, Milan will have agree on a transfer fee with the European champions.

Giroud has been at Chelsea since 2018 when he joined from London and Premier League rivals Arsenal. The Frenchman has struggled for playing time at the Blues in recent seasons, and it is unlikely that he will want to stay at Stamford Bridge for another season.
