Adama Traore set for new Wolverhampton Wanderers contract

According to The Times, Adama Traore is set to sign a new contract with Wolverhampton Wanderers. It has been reported that the new terms will see the former Barcelona and Aston Villa man earn as much as £100,000 per week as salary and will see him put pen to paper on a new four-year deal.

Defending Premier League champions Liverpool and Spanish giants Barcelona are interested in Traore, according to the report, which has added that Wolves believe that a new deal and a pay-rise will be enough to see the 24-year-old stay at the Molineux Stadium.

Traore joined Wolves from Middlesbrough in the summer of 2018 for £18 million. According to WhoScored, the 24-year-old made 27 starts and 10 substitute appearances in the Premier League for Nuno’s side last season, scoring four goals and providing nine assists in the process. The winger also made seven starts and three substitute appearances in the Champions League for the Wanderers in 2019-20, scoring two goals in the process, according to WhoScored.
