RSC Anderlecht have successfully defended their Pro League lead with a 2-0 win over KRC Genk on Friday.

Genk have been doing well this season and currently occupy fourth place, but against Anderlecht it just wasn’t meant to be and the Brussels outfit ended up collecting the points.

Gillet put Anderlecht in the lead on 33 minutes and a second was scored by Legear in injury time to decide the clash.

Anderlecht now have a seven-points advantage over Standard de Liege and Club Brugge, who face a task to restore the original four-points margin when they meet with KAA Gent and Excelsior Mouscron respectively.
