Anderlecht shocked by Cercle Brugge

RSC Anderlecht’s lead in the Belgian Pro League could be brought back to one point as the Brussels outfit suffered a 1-2 defeat by Cercle Brugge on Friday.

Ukrainian striker Oleg Iachtchouk put the visiting side in the lead in the very first minute, but had his goal cancelled out by Guillaume Gillet in the 23rd.

The winning goal came four minutes after the hour mark, with Iachtchouck adding his second of the night.

Anderlecht’s main competitors Standard de Liege host Dender on Saturday and a win would leave them at just one point from the leaders.
